About Kocani

Welcome to Kocani, a town in the heart
of Eastern Macedonia, spread at the bottom of the Osogovo mountain
slopes and across the fertile Kocani valley.We invite you to takea
walk along the beautiful Kocani river, to climb up the nearby hill
and enjoy the town panorama. Only a few kilometers from the town,
in the bottom of the Osogovo mountain you can visit the monastery
complex St. Pantelejmon where you will discover the breathtaking beauty
of Macedonian fresco art and the unique masterpieces of Macedonian
fresco painters. A few minutes away from it, higher up in the mountains
you can enjoy the natural beauty of the summer/winter resort "Ponikva".
We recommend that you should go sightseeing across the valley and
visit the historic monuments
